Eclipse Theatre Company is proud to honor and present the 2010 Corona Award to Elizabeth K. Auman at Total Eclipse 2010.

The Corona Award is given to an individual who has played an important role in supporting and nurturing the growth of the Chicago Theatre Community and has also been directly or indirectly involved in the growth of Eclipse Theatre Company as well.

The past recipient of the inagural Corona Award was Jane Alderman in 2009

The 2010 Corona Award recipient:
Elizabeth K. Auman
Managing Director, TimeLine Theatre Company

Ms. Auman was actively involved in helping Eclipse Theatre from 2003-2009, working with all resident companies at the Greenhouse through the Greenhouse Project (a shared grant from the Guthman Foundation) and through personal meetings with Eclipse administrative & board leadership. She gave advice and support in areas such as marketing, Board development, grant writing, cultivation and budgeting. Her support of Eclipse and her essential role in the development of the Victory Gardens Greenhouse (now the Greenhouse Theater Center) make her an invaluble member of the Chicago Theatre community and for fostering the growth of Eclipse Theate Company.

Elizabeth Auman joined TimeLine in October, following 15 years at Victory Gardens Theater, the last 12 as general manager. During her tenure as general manager, Victory Gardens went from a $1.2 million theater to a two-venue creative campus with a $3 million budget. She helped guide the theater’s systematic growth through major periods of organizational transition, including its recent $11.8 million Expanding Horizons capital campaign and last season’s move to the new mainstage at the Biograph Theater.Her areas of expertise include operations, finance, fundraising, human resources and box-office management. (She began her career at Victory Gardens in 1992 as assistant box-office manager.) Throughout her tenure at Victory Gardens, she also worked closely with the artists within the organization and with diverse companies whose seasons are produced at what is now called the Victory Gardens Greenhouse Theater. Prior to Victory Gardens, she held various administrative positions at Chicago Shakespeare Theater and the Blackstone Theatre of DePaul University (now the Merle Reskin Theatre). She has twice served on PACT/Equity negotiation teams and was formerly on the boards of Strawdog Theatre Co. and Step Right Up Productions. She graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington with a bachelor of fine arts degree in theater.
